Vintage Style Butcher’s Apron

This very vintage apron is made with a combination of two fabrics from Wyndham’s 1930’s Era Feed Sack Designs. It’s very reminiscent of the old feed sacks that were used by so many women to make clothing for their families. It is made in the true butcher style of apron – very long and very basic. I added a twist by making an adorable little turned down pocket and tacking on a vintage bakelite button. There is another vintage button at the waistband to secure the coordinating hand wipe. The primary color is cherry red, and the scattered flowers are in vintage jade, yellow, white, and deep blue. This apron hangs mid calf, and wraps around the hips. It can be tied in back, at the front, or on the side of the apron, depending on what strikes your fancy. This apron would be a bright and cheery addition to any kitchen.
