Vintage Style Gathered Half Apron
I created this apron from memories
of the Saturday afternoon matinees….the little cowgirl in me just loved the
Westerns! I remember that the gals always seemed wear a full half apron
when they were not on their horses, but in the house doing their chores.
The apron, if I remember correctly, had a big ruffle. When this apron was
completed, I felt it closely resembled what they might have worn, the only
exception being that theirs was likely plain white. This one is done in the very
Shabby Chic Robyn Pandolph Captured In Time fabric. It falls in length a couple
inches below the knees and fits around the hips with a bit of the big back
ruffle showing! I added a large pocket trimmed in a coordinating checked
fabric. I strive to combine beauty and practicality when making aprons.
They’re all made from very high quality cotton blends and are completely
washer/dryer safe. Enjoy!
