Welcome to the handbag section of Bags By AnnieG. Here you will find handcrafted fabric handbags of all varieties, from Vintage Style to Trendy, from Shabby Chic to Funky. These fabric handbags are handmade in beautiful Lake County, CA, and I think you will find that each one is unique. I purchase fabrics in small quantities in order to maintain the individuality of my projects, and in most instances the designs are my own. Whatever your taste may be – vintage, shabby, funky, romantic, retro – you are sure to find the style that’s just right for you. My fabrics are primarily reproductions of fabrics of days gone by, such as Mama’s Feedsacks, Moda’s Sanctuary and Mary Rose, American Jane, Sweet Dreams by Robyn Pandolph, Michael Miller, and Darlene Zimmerman’s 1930’s Era Designs. They are very reminiscent of the past while having the durability and ease of use today’s women require. I make a special effort to include vintage buttons, pins, vintage style laces, and other vintage or vintage style adornments to each handbag.

All my handbags are made with two layers of quilt batting.  One layer of batting is used on the handles, making them very comfortable either over the shoulder or held by hand.  The pockets also have a layer of batting.  All seams are double stitched as well as top stitched.  Straps vary in length from 25” to 28”.  Machine embroidery is used on many of my handbags, just to add dimension and interest.  These bags are made to last!  Because of trim and vintage lace and/or buttons and pins, dry cleaning is recommended.  You can also spot clean with a mild detergent and touch up with an iron if necessary.

AnnieG’s handmade Market Totes come in three convenient sizes, as seen in our Market Tote section, suitable for all your shopping needs.  You can use an AnnieG fabric handbag with any attire, from the very casual to more dressy wear.  They are perfect for any occasion!  Bags by AnnieG makes lovely aprons in the Vintage, Cottage, Retro Style or more current Trendy styles.  AnnieG’s Shopping Totes are a great way to go green in style!  Keep a couple in your car for that last minute dash to the grocery store.  All of AnnieG's items are one of a kind, and all, except for those using vintage trims or buttons, are completely washer/dryer safe.  We use vintage fabrics, Rachael Ashwell, top quality cotton blends such as Moda, Kaufman (love his 1930’s Era Designs!), American Jane, Mary Rose, Robyn Pandolph – just to mention a few.  Bags by AnnieG also incorporate some very trendy cotton and broadcloths for our handmade bags, totes, aprons, and pillows.  AnnieG products have sold on eBay, by word of mouth, and at a gift boutique in Sevierville, Tennessee.  Satisfaction to date is 100%.
